Below are estimates of the varieties of vegetables and herbs we offer throughout the year. Your CSA share will include a combination of these according to the season.

June: Beans, Beets, Cabbage, Carrots, Lettuce Mix, Asian Greens, Kale, Peas, Radishes, Spinach

July: Beans, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Asian Greens, Peppers, Melons, Tomatoes, Onions

August: Beans, Corn, Onions, Cucumbers, Garlic, Tomatoes, Summer Squash, Peppers, Radishes

September: Beets, Carrots, Garlic, Onions, Swiss Chard, Lettuce, Radishes, Winter Squash, Asian Greens

October: Beets, Cabbage, Broccoli, Carrots, Chard, Spinach, Lettuce, Radish, Pumpkin, Kale, Turnips


Culinary Herbs: Basil, Cilantro, Dill, Oregano, Marjoram, Parsley, Thyme, Marigold

Medicinal Herbs: Chamomile, Borage, Lavender, Calendula, Comfrey, Lemon Verbena

Pocket Farms is a woman-owned, small-business within the Northern Virginia Metro DC area. We take previously un-used land and turn it into an edible landscape to feed families within our community.

My goal is to continuously improve soil health, increase biodiversity of flora and fauna, and to grow delicious food that has never been sprayed with synthetic pesticides or herbicides.

Pocket Farms uses preventative methods such as companion planting, row cover, and other pest management practices. Your soil is built up with organic matter including locally made compost, and natural mulches. We strive to reduce food waste by using a crop plan, composting on site, donating left over produce, and providing members with the best storage methods for their produce shares. Pocket Farms is not certified organic.
